What are some unique names that I could name my world of magic in my book?

I have this other world in a book that I'm writing...and I need a unique name for it...I just want some suggestions to get some ideas flowing. Thanks!

What are some unique names that I could name my world of magic in my book?
Taylor is a good name for it.

Serendipia

Lasdorane

Poingade

Jarfuin

Rupchandra

These are just names i made up by staring at my keyboard too long.
Reply:Are the characters in your magic world going to speak English, or are ou making up a language for them like in Lord of the Rings? If you're making up a language for them then its probably best to name it something in their own language, it'll make more sense that way.

If its strictly English-based though, what "trademarks" are in your magic world? If it's magic crystals, for instance, you could try to find the latin forms of the words and put them together: Crystalus-Magus. Crystagus, Magalus, something like that. Or if you don't like the way Latin sounds, try another language. You can modify words, too: add an extra vowel or something like that.

Good luck...I'm having the same problem!
Reply:Ophira, pernounced Oh-fee-ruh
