Is tasey or tacey a unique name for a baby girl?

I am trying to find a name for my daughter and I am indecisive. My SIL suggested the name tacey what do you guys think about that name?




Is tasey or tacey a unique name for a baby girl?
I am all for unique names, but Tasey almost sounds a little too made upish. I am not trying to be mean or offensive. Here are a few suggestions...

A name that I like that is similar - Tansy. It's unique, but still sweet and girly, and wouldn't be confused with other names.
Reply:be gentle about what you name your child. yes it may be cute as a small girl, but when she is an adult out into the workforce..it may not work out so well in her favor. tacey, however..is not too bad. ive heard much worse. i named my daughter lily, and i wish i would have given her lillian or lilliana, just something that would go over better as an adult. good luck! naming a child is never easy. maybe one aimed toward your nationality is good. thats the way im heading for my next, if there ever is one.

If you like Tacey, why not Stacey? Or Anastasia (Her nickname can be Ana, Anya, Stasy, Stacy, Stasia, etc.)

I think it's awful, I'm afraid. It's made-up, cheap and trendy. There are plenty of nice, classic names out there that will age much better.
