Do you have a unique name for your pet?

I see a lot of pets with the names, Fluffy, Snowball, and Midnight.. Does anyone have some nice unique names for their pets?

My cat who was in five apartments with me but now resides and is retired up at my mothers house was my best pet ever. I still love him very much and miss his furry face. His name is A.J. Axel Junior. He got this name because he looks so much like the childhood cat I grew up who was named Axel. Axel got his name from my older sister finding him in an ice skating rink when she was trying to learn how to do the Axel move of figure skating. She had a teacher teaching her how to do an axel. The cat was always roaming around outside and often inside the skating rink looking all lonely and homeless so we took him home when I was a baby. That cat lived like 16 years. My cat AJ loks liek him and has some of his wild spirit and hunter qualities. Oh yeah AJ's sister whom lives with my sister in Boston now is named "Pookie". Of course my sis chose that one. AJ is Da Cat!
Reply:When I name them myself, they have unique names; but if they come already named, I go with that. Right now I have Spikey the toy poodle, Scooter the mutt (came with his name--I would have called him Skateboard); Marshmallow the budgie, Anissa the cockatiel, 99 and Cousin the cats, Hobo the pigeon, Snow White the dove, his mate; and Alvin and Theodora, a pair of doves.

I'm going to get another cat named Snoebag (he's three weeks old right now, so I'll adopt him from my friend in a few more weeks; the kitten's mother's name is Mama Hoebag (my friend is weird), so I figured I'd name the kitten Snoebag like his mama (since the kitten is white).) I also considered naming the white cat Midnight-- a common name, except rather ironic and uncommon for a white cat. I like ironic names like that-- I think that if I got a snake I would name it Fluffy. I once had a king snake named Enzyte Bob. I have hermit crabs named Caesar and Gary. I've had a giant desert centipede named Noodle, and a giant Vietnamese centipede named Francesca. And I had a male rat named Sparkle. I'm sure there are some more that I can't think of right now...

BABY, is my 10 yr old Boxer





Bugzee, is my 1 year old Chihuahua. (He's an apple head with big buggy eyes, Hence, Bugzee)





My newest is my 6-mo. Boxer She's a mess.


I call her Buffy - no particular reason, though, except I didn't like the name the rescue folks gave her - Jasmine





I had a male Min-Pin, so nervous he peed in the floor if you even spoke to him. I named him "Puddles"





I had another Min-Pin - female...She had the same bad nervous habit I named her "Tinkles"





I had a Min. Dashund, She was very hard and slow to "poop" train, I named her "Doodles"





"Tinkles, my female Min-Pin had pups; I kept one; he was born without a tail; I named him "Stubby"





I had another little "male?" beagle. I named him,"No-Balls." Guess why?

Reply:hmm. nothing too special...i named roxanne after roxanne the movie with steve martin...then that roxy brand came out and all of sudden it became a more common name...then my dogs now...lucy and daisy...not so unique...my turtles...tom and jerry are named after the cartoon...probably not unique either.
Reply:I have twin orange cats named Wingnut and Screwloose, and my others are Donut, Monkey, Skeeter, MadCat, Fubsy, Boston, Mr.Orange, John Wayne. a pig named Bacon (a mini one, not for eating ; ) and a buncha other animals, with slightly less interesting names :P
